Welcome to Stranger Stories Club (the "Site"), owned and operated by In The Margins Films, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using our Site or submitting any content.

By accessing the Site, or by clicking to accept these Terms when the option is made available to you, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Site.

1. ELIGIBILITY AND USER ACCOUNTS

To submit a story or use certain features of this Site, you must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). By using this Site, you represent and warrant that you meet this eligibility requirement.

2. USER SUBMISSIONS, INDEPENDENT DEVELOPMENT, AND RELEASE

A. Non-Confidential and Voluntary Nature.You acknowledge that your submission of any story, text, idea, concept, plot, character, or other material (collectively, the "Submission") is entirely voluntary and unsolicited. You agree that no confidential, fiduciary, implied-in-fact, or special relationship is created between you and the Company by virtue of your Submission. The Company does not agree to keep your Submission confidential.

B. Acknowledgment of Independent Development and Casting Vetting.You understand and acknowledge that the Company is actively engaged in the business of researching, casting, developing, writing, and producing documentary films, video interviews, and other media projects for distribution across YouTube, social media platforms, and film festivals. You recognize that the Company, its employees, and its creative partners may now be developing, or may in the future independently develop or cast, materials, ideas, stories, or concepts that are identical or substantially similar to your Submission. Furthermore, you acknowledge that the Company may receive similar stories or concepts from other users or third-party sources, and that the Company's review of your Submission for potential casting implies no promise of selection, production, or compensation.

C. Permanent Waiver of Claims and Release.In consideration of the Company providing you with a platform to submit and share your story, you hereby permanently, irrevocably, and unconditionally release and discharge the Company, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and licensees from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, or causes of action—including, without limitation, claims for breach of implied contract, idea misappropriation, copyright infringement, plagiarism, unfair competition, or breach of confidence—arising out of or relating to any similarity between your Submission and any project, film, script, outline, or other media independently developed, produced, or distributed by the Company now or in the future.

D. Waiver of Injunctive Relief (No Stop-Work Remedy).You explicitly agree that in the event of any dispute arising out of or relating to this agreement or the Company's alleged use of your Submission, your sole and exclusive remedy shall be an action at law for monetary damages (if any). You hereby expressly waive any right to seek or obtain rescission, injunctive relief, or any other equitable remedy that would restrain, enjoin, halt, or otherwise interfere with the development, production, distribution, exhibition, advertising, or exploitation of any film, media project, or website owned or controlled by the Company.

3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS & SITE LICENSE

A. Your Ownership. You retain any copyright and other intellectual property rights you already hold in the text of your Submission.

B. Limited Website License.By submitting content to the Site, you grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and sublicensable license to host, store, use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your Submission solely for the purposes of operating, displaying, and promoting the Site and its user-submitted archive.

C. Production and Distribution Rights Excluded.For the avoidance of doubt, the limited license granted in Section 3(B) allows the Company to display your text Submission on this Site, but does not grant the Company the right to produce, film, or distribute a video interview or documentary feature based on your Submission for YouTube, social media, or film festivals without a separate, formal agreement. The right to film you and commercially distribute your story across third-party platforms is strictly contingent upon you executing the Company’s standard, physical or digital On-Camera Appearance Release prior to the commencement of production.

4. USER REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES

By providing a Submission, you represent and warrant that:You are the sole author and owner of the Submission, or you possess all necessary legal rights and permissions to submit it.The Submission is entirely factual, true, and accurate to the best of your knowledge.The Submission does not infringe upon the copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property or proprietary rights of any third party.The Submission does not contain defamatory, libelous, obscene, or unlawful material.

5. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Company, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from:Your use of and access to the Site;Your violation of any term of these Terms;Your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right within your Submission; orAny claim that your Submission caused damage to a third party.

6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, OR EMPLOYEES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING OUT OF YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SITE. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00).

7. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

8. SEVERABILITY AND CHANGES TO TERMS

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of those changes.
